Everyone loves receiving baked goods, especially at Christmas. Give a gift made with love (and butter, flour and sugar) with this giant cookie recipe, gift wrapped to perfection.
1 Preheat your oven to 190°C, gas mark 5.
2 Beat together the butter and sugar until smooth. Slowly fold in the flour.
3 Separate your mixture into fist-sized balls. On a floured surface, flatten each ball into a round cookie shape. Place on a lined baking tray.
4 Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until pale golden-brown. Set aside to cool on a wire rack.
5 Get decorating! Come up with your own Christmas-inspired designs, then leave them to set (if they’re particularly runny you may want to pop them in the fridge to set).
1 Print out your template and cut out the plain side.
2 Fold along the dotted lines, bringing each corner into the middle of the template to make an envelope.
3 Flip your envelope over and add a your decorations to the front (we love a painted handprint!). Leave to dry.
4 Add your cookie. Tape the gift message over the four corners to seal it up!
